My 10yr old daughter was suffering with bad constipation and was extremely lethargic with little or no energy. I took her to Joanne for Cranio and after 3 treatments the change in her was dramatic. Her energy levels soared and she was able to keep up with her friends again while out playing.

  • Acupuncture treatment being administered to a patient's abdomen.

After three miscarriages in early pregnancy I turned to acupuncture as I heard it helped with blood flow throughout the body, the growing placenta in particular. Sheila was friendly yet professional, and made me feel at ease straight away. The relaxation and subsequent energy I felt both during and after my treatment was remarkable, and as I'm currently 38 weeks pregnant, it clearly worked a treat! I can't recommend it-and Sheila-enough.

  • A physiotherapist's hands on the back of a patient.

I cannot recommend The Physio Rooms highly enough to anyone who requires physiotherapy. The team of physiotherapists there are exceptionally skilled as well as being very friendly and accommodating. I have suffered from back pain for a while but l can honestly say since l have started attending the physio rooms there has been a rapid improvement in my pain level as well as my back flexibility and strength. Through a programme of personalized physiotherapy sessions and exercises l have now gained control over my back problem. Christina

  • Runners

I had a bad fall off my bike last year and sustained a spinal fracture. Went to a few physios who tried to rehab me for a sedentary lifestyle, so was still having problems on the bike as quads were weak and pain was holding me back from regaining full fitness. Have been going to Muireann now for a few months and have been getting great results. She's a cyclist also and has travelled and worked with teams completing events, which helps her understanding of position on the bike etc. Have returned to full pre-injury fitness and back racing. Thank you Muireann so much for everything you did for me. I couldn’t have done it without you.

  • Older lady receiving facial acupuncture treatment.

" As medical intervention was unsuccessful on wear and tear on my neck I decided to try physiotherapy and acupuncture. It has made a huge improvement to my neck and well-being and I now have fantastic movement with little or no pain. Well done Physio Rooms"

Both my daughter (aged 11) and I highly recommend Joanne. She has successfully used craniosacral and traditional physio to help relieve back and neck pain for us both. She has helped us to make small changes in our lives to make our body and mind stronger and more able to cope with everyday stress. She is very good at putting the client at ease and treating the whole body not just the area of pain.

  • Physiotherapist manipulating a patient's knee.

I came to the Physio Rooms about 3 months ago with knee/leg pain. I had tried many avenues to finally sort out my pain issues but nothing worked. I was delighted when I met with Joanne. I explained the history of my knee issues from over the last 25 years. Joanne was a breath of fresh air when she outlined her methods and philosophy. I was extremely open to a new way of looking at my issues. We spent the first number of sessions working on getting my body back into balance and helping it understand how to heal again. We spent a further number of sessions working on stretching and strength. In total I have had 5 sessions and I am now back running with ease – something I have not done in over 10 years. I am delighted with the friendly and professional service I have received from the Physio Rooms. I would highly recommend a consultation with the Physio Rooms. Padraig

  • Physiotherapist showing a boy a model of a spine.

My son is currently being treated at The Physio Rooms for concussion, and for a persistent cough that would just not shift. The therapist has a great way with children, asking them questions in a way they react well to, and really understanding their answers. My son is responding to both her caring and efficient manner, and her thorough treatment. I have recommended The Physio Rooms to friends and family – for adults and children. R.

  • Therapist touching the feet of a patient during a Craniosacral Therapy session.

I was born with unilateral talipes (clubfoot) and have been to many physios and received various treatments over the years for recurring pain in that foot. You didn’t know much of my medical history, yet when you felt into my body, through my foot, you picked up a lot of it. In all the years of treatments, it was the first time ever that a practitioner looked beyond the localised pain and considered me as a whole. I left that first session feeling like something magical had happened …Ina

  • Older lady receiving facial acupuncture treatment.

I would like to thank you, I have been going trough the menopause for two years now. The hot flushes and night sweats were a not a nice experience. I went to The Physio Rooms for acupuncture, and it was the best thing. I have no sweats not hot flushes and I can sleep, no panic attacks or anxiety. I do not take HRT, NO pills at all. Thanks again. MM

  • A patient's head rests on the hands of a therapist during a Craniosacral Therapy session.

I’ve had a number of sessions of craniosacral therapy with The Physio Rooms over the last two years. I’ve always found it hugely beneficial. I leave each session feeling lighter and more balanced. I highly recommend it.

In January 2014 I came to point in my life were I was struggling to deal with the death of my brother and the shock and trauma of his death was affecting me in a deep way. I had gone for bereavement counselling and found this helped but didn’t get to the root of my grief. My cousin recommended I go and make an appointment with a craniosacral therapist at The Physio Rooms, to see if this could help in any way. I will always remember my first session, I felt a huge ball of sadness, shock and trauma lift from my chest that felt like was there for such a long time and felt a huge shift in my body and felt that finally the healing begin. After further sessions I noticed so many great changes in my body and gave me the confidence and strength to go forward in my life knowing that my body has the ability to heal itself once I listen and pay attention to it. It really was a life changing experience and has encouraged me now to go and study to be a craniosacral therapist so I can help others overcome any obstacles that may be in their lives. Forever grateful, Stewart, Ireland. 23/07/2014.

  • Mom physiotherapist with laughing baby, showing her a model of a spine

My toddler had been experiencing repeated chest infections, and conventional medicine was prescribing an endless cycle of antibiotics. Her immune system was on its knees, and I wanted to try an alternative route. I was tired and worn down, and felt like I was always on edge. As we went through the medical history during our first session, and throughout all of our treatments, it was so lovely to be able to talk and actually be listened to. I was surprised to learn that, because she was so young, myself and my daughter would be treated together. Our treatments were like a little oasis of calm. I could feel that I was freer in myself after our treatments. Our therapist was also able to suggest lots of exercises for strengthening the lungs. Since our treatments, my daughter’s general health has vastly improved, and recommendations for other alternative therapies were spot on. We have been antibiotic free (fingers crossed) for almost a year now… A major achievement for a child who was averaging a course a month! Ciara

  • Physiotherapist holding the arm of a patient.

I have been a client of The Physio Rooms for physiotherapy on a number of occasions. Initially, I had a shoulder injury which improved immensely with the help of craniosacral therapy. I had tried many other treatments outside The Physio Rooms, and nothing helped. I particularly liked that my therapist listened to my concerns before beginning any treatment. I did not want a heavy handed approach that would only serve to increase my injury, pain, and anxiety. I have also used The Physio Rooms when dealing with pregnancy related pelvic and back pain. The treatments offered were both calming and effective. I had SPD, lower back pain, and a lot of tightness in my hips and legs both during and after the pregnancy. I found that craniosacral therapy, pressure points and the Bowen technique all helped to ease my discomfort and pain. Many thanks, a very happy client, Karen.

  • Therapist touching the feet of a patient during a Craniosacral Therapy session.

Going to The Physio Rooms, I found an excellent physiotherapist whom I would recommend to anyone. Her holistic approach and positive, compassionate attitude also really enhance her practice. I have found that going to The Physio Rooms for treatment has been of great benefit to my health and has given me much pain relief.

  • Illustration showing the lumbar spine

Fibromyalgia is complicated but I feel these treatments helped me find my way back from the illness and become more myself again. Having been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia I was advised by my consultant to try the Bowen Technique. I was doubtful to start with but over two years later, I’m still attending for Bowen, Craniosacral and physiotherapy, because of benefits of improved form, lower pain levels and improved sleeping patterns. -Wilma

  • Beautiful toddler

I took my 2 year old daughter to The Physio Rooms after someone recommended Craniosacral therapy, as she wouldn’t sleep through the night. We had tried everything up to this point! A few days after first treatment she was sleeping right through the night. Couldn’t recommend The Physio Rooms enough, treatment is so subtle & through play, she didn’t even realise it was happening. The change in our house now, all of us getting sleep is amazing. – S.

  • Smiling baby in a white romper.

I cannot recommend the Physio rooms enough. My son displayed symptoms of reflux at around 5 weeks old, vomiting after every feed, back arching and screaming with pain. After a few sessions of craniosacral therapy with Joanne he is a different baby. I cannot thank her enough, I have recommended her to friends and family. It has prevented my son take any unnecessary medications and he is pain free and taking feeds with no problems.

  • Acupuncture treatment being administered to a patient's back

Following disc surgery, I came to The Physio Rooms for treatment of continuing pain in my leg and knee. I was unable to walk any distance. Hands-on physiotherapy and rehabilitation exercises helped a lot to improve my movement and strength. I had never tried acupuncture, but found it particularly good for relieving the nervy pain I was getting down the leg. Craniosacral therapy helped boost my energy. For me, the combined approach worked very well to maximise my recovery. I now walk three miles a day five times a week with little to no pain.
